As part of our responsibility to Yoga and provide affordable Yoga Teacher’s training, Indian Yoga School annually conducts Scholarship courses at our Mysore Campus to promote Yoga.

We have decided to conduct the Scholarship courses for 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training course – RYT 200 during the following months

  • December 1 – December 28, 2018
  • January 1- January 21,2019 ( 21 days)
  • February 1- February 21,2019 (21 days)
  • March 1 – March 21,2019 ( 21 days)

Fees: 800 $ (Vegetarian Food + Shared accommodation + Course for all 28 days)

The course is offered as per the standards of Indian Yoga School ( Anubhava Mantapa – Yoga 360 ) and Yoga Alliance USA Techniques, Training and Practice: 100 Hours

  • Teaching Methodology: 25 Hours
  • Anatomy and Physiology: 20 Hours
  • Yoga Philosophy, Lifestyle and Ethics for Yoga Teachers: 30 hours
  • Practicum: 10 Hours

5 am – Ashtanga yoga

6.30 am – Hatha Yoga

8 am –Pranayama

9 am – Breakfast

10 am - Ayurveda

11.30 am - Yoga Anatomy/yoga Philosophy

12 pm - Teaching Practice (from the middle of the second week)

1.30 pm – Fruits

2.15 pm – karma yoga

3.15 pm - Teaching Methodology Ashtanga yoga

4.45 pm -Teaching Methodology Hatha yoga

6.30 pm- Meditation

7.30 pm - Dinner

200 Hours Ashtanga Yoga TTC

Practice and teaching Methodology - 100 hours

  • The practice of the postures of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga primary series
  • Ashtanga Vinyasa principles and techniques such as Drishti, Bandhas, Ujjayee Breathing
  • Arts of Adjustments and mechanisms and safety techniques
  • Skills of assisting and teaching under supervision of the lead teacher
  • Principles of demonstration
  • Skills of Observation and assistance and correction
  • Communication skills and time management
  • Teaching Methods and demonstration
  • Class Management an its practical training
  • Role and responsibilities of the teacher and qualities
  • Lesson planning essentials and planning for teaching of Yoga

Exam: Trainees lead the led class and will be able to give hands on adjustments and alignment . Practical exam evaluated by faculties of school.


Yoga Anatomy 20 hours

  1. Introduction
    • Fundamentals – Breath, bandha, drishti and Vinyasa.
    • Respiratory system
  2. The basics of functional Anatomy.
    • Connective tissue details –
    • Blood tissue, Muscle tissue, fascia, nerves, bones, joints and its components.
  3. Muscular system.
  4. Skeletal system and functional joints – Knee joint, Hip joint, Pelvis and Spine.

Pranayama - 20 hours

1st and 2nd week:  Techniques covered Kapalabhati, Bastrika, Ujjai, Nadi shodana, Surya bhedana, Chendra bedana, Anuloma-Viloma, Shithali, Shitkari and Bramari. Advance variations of practice , Bandas, Mudra

Exam: Trainees will lead the class and practical exam evaluated by school faculties.


Yoga Philosophy: 20 hours

Yoga is one of the six orthodox systems of Indian Philosophy.Yog is a way of life.Maharshi Patanjali is the father of Yoga Darshan.
History of Yoga dates back to 200BC.Patanjali collated and compiled all the knowledge scattered in different sources together and systemized in his Yoga Sutras.There are 195 sutras divided into four padas or chapters. The first chapter called “Samadhi pada” , which explains Samadhi and different types of it. INTRODUCTION TO AYURVEDA and business of Yoga 12 hours

  1. Introduction , Definition and History of Ayurveda.
  2. Ashta anga Ayurveda.
  3. Definition of Health in Ayurveda.
  4. Basic concepts of Ayurveda and their relevance in the diet and activity management in every individual – Dosha specific yoga asana practice and designing individual yoga therapy sessions.
  • Doshas(Body constitutions)
  • Dhathus(Body tissues)
  • Mala(Biological/metabolic waste products)
  • Concept of Agni(Digestive and metabolic fire)
  • Pancha mahabhoota(Five basic elements in the universe)
  • How to set up studio to teach Yoga and Business of Yoga.

Meditation : 20 hours

  • Meditation is not just ordinary concentration but a special type of internal concentration.

200 Hours Hatha Yoga TTC

Practice and teaching Methodology - 100 hours

  • Yogasana Fundamental Level 1 : Guided & led class focus on basic stretches, Surya namaskar A ( Sun salutations ) , Standing poses, Sitting poses, Supine poses , Prone poses and Finishing sequence . Total 45 Individual asanas will be covered. 2nd week Focus on self practice alignments and adjustments from faculties and Trainee’s..
  • Yogasana Intermediate & Advanced level 2: Led class focused on Advance stretches, Surya Namaskar B and Advance poses of Standing, Sitting, Supine, Prone and finishing sequences Total 40 Intermediate & Advanced Individual poses will be covered. Afternoon class focus on individual poses, How to practice correctly and alignment, Using Yoga accessories like belt, bricks, and bolsters, How to lead led class, Hands on adjustment

Exam: Trainees lead the led class and will be able to give hands on adjustments and alignment . Practical exam evaluated by faculties of school.
